Bring your artwork to us and we will help you create the perfect combination of frames, mats, or liners to enhance your piece and give you that one of a kind accent for your home or office.
No matter whether you are framing an heirloom painting or your children’s artwork, you want it to stay in good condition. That requires the right combination of acid free materials and preservation grade glazing. We are here to advise you on the best ways to protect your art and we carry a full line of preservation framing materials. No one wants to see their print fade or the paper to turn brown and brittle. Framed art is often hanging in your home long after many pieces of furniture are replaced. Frame it to last.
None of the mouldings that we use for framing are from endangered woods. Not only are many of the woods from self sustaining forests, but now there are water based stains from some manufacturers which are also better for the environment. Mats are also available made from cotton rag which is a sustainable alternative to wood fibers.
We have both catalogs and an on line site to help you select that perfect piece for your home or office as well as a selection of both prints and framed pieces.
All the work is done on our premises. This allows a much faster turnaround time and better quality control. We stock a range of mouldings and mats, so that some work can be completed in as little as a day or two. Even with custom ordered materials, the usual wait is only a week.
Not everything you want to display fits inside a frame. We can make custom acrylic boxes to stand on a table or pedestal or hang from the wall. We can also create shadowboxes for everything from musical instruments, sports memorabilia, marionettes, or military items. It’s a perfect way to enjoy those treasures you have stored away because you don’t know how to preserve or display them
Closed corner frames add a very special look for your art or mirror. Custom-made to the size of your art, the unfinished moulding is then gilded, lacquered or stained so that no corner joins show. Custom color matching can also be done for the finishes. “Sgraffito” frames are made by gilding the frame and then applying a colored finish over the gilding. Then a pattern is hand cut through the colored finish to reveal the gilding. You may show a pattern, initials or dates…, perfect for wedding photos or perhaps a water color of your home. Some closed corner frames also feature hand carved elements in the frame, round corners or pierced work corners and swags. These special features require a minimum four weeks to produce, but they are well worth the wait.
